Skin tags

Skin tags are harmless lesions that are found on the skin and made up of blood vessels and collagen.
Skin tags are caused by friction, usually within natural skin creases. Although they can occur anywhere on the body, this explains why they are most commonly found on the neck, and eyelids, in the groin, under breasts, or in the armpits.
As well as added friction caused by clothing, excess skin can also increase the likelihood of developing skin tags, for example from ageing, pregnancy and weight gain.
