PIXEL Q-SWITCH - LASER FACELIFT
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PIXEL RESURFACING LASER AND THE PIXEL Q-SWITCH?
While both of these treatments work wonders on skin tone and texture, clients often wonder what the difference between the two is. The main difference is that the Pixel Resurfacing is Ablative (pokes little holes in the skin) and Pixel Q-Switch is Non-Ablative (does not break the skin) and uses photo acoustic energy to penetrate much deeper into the dermal layer of the skin.
An ideal treatment would be a combination of the two as they function on different wavelengths and reach different levels of the skin.
But if you are trying to decide between one or the other, Non-Ablative is traditionally best for dark circles, vascular problems (redness), fine lines and crepey skin plus absolutely no down time. Ablative lasers address deeper lines and pigmentation as they act to resurface the skin and may involve 3 – 5 days of recovery time.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE AND AFTER EACH TREATMENT?
IS THE PIXEL Q-SWITCH SAFE ON DARKER SKIN?
Yes, All skin types can be safely treated with the Pixel Q-Switch
